25) 21st Dec 08 - floor to ceiling the Study is complete (for now)

26) 5th Nov 2010 - two years later and we return to the Study for a bit of a makeover. The curtains got in the way and were too difficult to use over the bench. The carpet just ate small model aircraft parts and made it difficult to move around on a wheelie chair.

27) 6th Nov 10 - out comes the furniture and those curtains.

28) 7th Nov 10 - down goes some foam underlay.

29 30 31 32
29) 8th Nov 10 - wood laminate floor goes down.

30) 9th Nov 10 - scotia edging goes down.

31) 10th Nov 10 - new shelving goes up where the curtain was. A new white blind goes in the recess to replace the curtain.

32) 10th Nov 10 - all the furniture is moved back in for the finished effect.

33 34 35 36
33) Same process from a different angle. This time from the opposite corner looking from window to door. 6th Nov 10 - all furniture gone.

34) 7th Nov 10 - foam underlay goes down. Note door.

35) 8th Nov 10 - door now removed. Wooden laminate floor laid.

36) 9th Nov 10 - scotia edging laid and part of the furniture is restored (left).

37 38 39 40
37) Same process from a different angle. This time between window and door looking into the room to the opposite corner. 6th Nov 10 - carpet about to be removed. Note that the display cabinet has been removed.

38) 7th Nov 10 - foam underlay goes down.

39) 8th Nov 10 - wood laminate floor goes down.

40) 9th Nov 10 - scotia edging has been laid. Display cabinet moves back into the room with books and stereo equipment.

41 42 43 44

41) Same process from a different angle. This time with door to left and window to right. 5th Nov 10 - original room full of furniture and old curtains.

42) 6th Nov 10 - furniture and curtains removed.

43) 7th Nov 10 - foam underlay goes down.

44) 8th Nov 10 - wood laminate floor goes down. Note wooden wedges around the edge from bits of our old fence removed in the summer. Mark pulled these out of a bag of kindling!

45 46 47 48

45) 9th Nov 10 - scotia edging now laid but no new shelves at this point (above window to top-right of photo).

46) 10th Nov 10 - new shelving has now gone up over (and next to) the window.

47) 10th Nov 10 - all the furniture now replaced. The changes give another boost to storage space and allows a couple more of the larger model aircraft boxes to be put up on the shelves now.
