1) Tuesday 11th August - the downstairs toilet gets a new white corner washbasin. Those very-dated tiles need to go....

2) The Toilet was replaced too. Remember the old green one? Horrid! This is a Twyford Interflush water-saving toilet. Coolest toilet ever! Note that the old toilet was much bigger so it left a bit of a mess at the back where there is no paint behind the cistern.

3 & 4) Pictured Wednesday the 19th August these photo's of the dowstairs loo show the new splashback tiles going in around the sink. These are leftover tiles from the Kitchen walls and were skillfully tiled here by Mark.

5) Monday 31st August - the tiling and repainting in the downstairs loo is complete. Here are the new tiles all grouted and sealed up.

6) Here is the toilet with the area behind filled, sanded and painted.

7) In connection wih the install of the KWB Easyfire Wood Pellet Boiler in the garage; we now have yet another new Thermostat in the Lounge stair-well. It is in a somewhat less-than-suitable metallic-grey plastic. It has several knobs and buttons to keep Milla amused as it is within her arms reach. We see trouble ahead.

8) August 2010 - he first of two new radiators for the lounge after the old ones rusted away. This one was leaking water profusely and desperately need changing before the next winter. We took the chance to choose the 'next-size-up' radiator as the lounge area is hard to heat.

9) The second new radiator at the window facing the front of the house. The old radiators were imperial sized whilst the new ones are metric. We managed to get the next bigger size on seven of the new radiators around the house. Only in the master bedroom did we specifiy one slightly smaller because the original one there was too big.

10) New Room Thermostat and combined Boiler Controller fitted in the Lounge in November 2010.

11) The new Room Stat sits next to a panel that shows the output of the Photovoltaic solar electric panels. Next to that is a readout of internal and external temperatures.
