1) Sunday 9th August 2009 - the furniture and bed have been
moved to make room for some building work 2) Thursday
13th August 2009 - the new Boiler flue pokes up through a
hole in the floor. There is also an exit for it through
the ceiling. 3) Saturday 15th August 2009 - the
flue now goes all the way through to the roof. |

4) A close-up of the flue as it passes into the
roof space via the bedroom ceiling. 5) Friday
21st August 2009 - some builders came and built a wall
around the flue to block it from sight. They came back a
few days later and added the coving and skirting board.
6) Thursday 27th August 2009 - Mark applies an
undercoat to lighten the plaster colour ready for a
paler colour on top.
7) Saturday 29th August 2009 - The paintwork
is now complete. |

8) The perfect crime.
Voila! The offending flue has vanished and everything is
back to normal again. In a few years this area of the
bedroom is destined to become an en suite shower room so
the flue will finally be hidden behind a wall holding
the shower pipes. |
