43 & 44) 7th & 10th April 2010 - the Inverter
goes into the attic so that the Photovoltaics can be
grid linked. It converts the solar panel DC (direct
current) to AC (alternating current) at mains voltage
240V AC. The Inverter reads 2.027Kw - more than enough
to boil a couple of kettles! It is sunny out side. |

45) Viw of the new inverter placed on the western
wall of the attic. 46) The Photovoltaic wiring
goes through this white PVC conduit.
47) The armoured cable from the inverter goes
down to the main house fuseboard via the outside wall
behind a downpipe.
48) On the opposite wall is the pump for the
Solar Thermal panels. |

52 |

49) Here you can see the pipes from the pump going
out to the roof where the evacuated tubes are. 50,
51 & 52) 12th May 2010 - a fresh view of the attic
after the dust has settled from the Solar Panel
installation. Views show the over-boarding underfoot and
the items stored on top. Most storage to the sides is
used with the central area largely clear apart from the
area under the Photovoltiac Inverter on the wall.
Everything is reasonably neat and tidy. |

53, 54, 55 & 56)
12th May 2010 - more attic views showing loft hatch and
water tank. |
|

57 |
|
|
|
|
|
57) 12th May 2010 - final attic shot for now. The
only reason to come back up here for any period of time
may be to fit further insulation at some point in the
future. |
