JDEdwards
Manufacturing - OneWorld B732 Implementation for Origin. Spring
2000. This was meant to have been a full life-cycle
implementation but sadly it was all too much too soon for this Canadian
owned Mineral extraction and processing company. Soviet-era inertia dies
hard and the central thrust of the project failed after two weeks. Kazzinc
still represents one of the very first projects behind the former Iron
Curtain and was utterly pioneering for this little-understood Central
Asian Republic. Kazakhstan is now better known for its involvement with
the War against Terror. We were there first. |

Manufacturing - QA Test of OneWorld B732 with Hedoga for
JDEdwards. Mid
1998. We struggled hard with Hedoga throughout 1997 and
1998. This was to be the support of a full lifecycle implementation for
the first Manufacturing OneWorld Go-Live in Europe. However, long running
difficulties with early versions of the software meant that the delays
resulted in the Hedoga team being invited to Denver to test the next
release. The photo to the left shows the new JDEdwards Campus being built
on land next to the Marriott Hotel (from where the photo was taken). Once
again, we we there first. |

Trichema AG, Switzerland. JDEdwards
Manufacturing - OneWorld B731 Implementation for JDEdwards.
Late
1997. Through 1997 and 1998 we worked hard to support
Hedoga through a full lifecycle implementation. Hedoga are a small
subcontract pharmaceuticals manufacturer within the central European
marketplace. They relied upon making small batches of products and had
specific requirements for product costing, manufacturing accounting and
percent BoM's that the early OneWorld software didn't deliver. They were
successful with later releases. This work was at the bleeding edge of the
OneWorld technology and we were proud to be involved at this from the very
beginning. Who could offer more? We were the first. |

Manufacturing - QA of A8.1 WorldSoftware for JDEdwards.
Mid
1997. Whilst working for JDEdwards we went to Denver of
three separate occasions. The first was to attend the JDE College, the
second was for Hedoga (as detailed above) and the third was to test the
fledgling A8.1 release of WorldSoftware. In our two weeks we tested large
areas and contributed to the quality of the final release. Any client
using a no-decimal Currency (ie, Lira) and Manufacturing Accounting should
be grateful for the work we did otherwise they would have got very strange
results! It was also a chance to be the first outside the US to see the
brand-new Repetitive Manufacturing system. Once again, we were there first
and only we have the very longest experience. |
