Krofire at Watson Smith in Leeds
In
late July 2004 Krofire returned to Leeds in Yorkshire, Great Britain, after
nearly eighteen months implementing OneWorld Xe at DePuy there back in
2000/2001/2002. (Krofire finished in Leeds back in the Summer of 2002 but had
returned to DePuy twice during 2003 for a couple of minor projects. The last
time was August 2003.) Now, however, Krofire is back with a completely
different client: Watson Smith, an IMI Norgren subsidiary. This is to be the
pilot site for a global roll-out so work has started on mapping "as
is" and "to be" processes in preparation for the eventual
implementation of PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne 8.9 throughout Manufacturing,
Distribution and Finance. We'll keep you posted on progress on this exciting
Project.

British Sugar chooses Krofire
In
early July 2004 Krofire voyaged out east to Peterborough as part of an effort
to support British Sugar. This well known British Company needed some
short-term help with Inventory reconciliation, Manufacturing Accounting,
Subcontract Purchasing and other areas in OneWorld Xe. British Sugar is a
multiple site manufacturing company using both Process and Discrete
manufacturing. Despite this not all of the opportunities have been realised to
exploit the system to the full. Further work is required to bed in the current
system's features after it went live in April 2004. Krofire welcomes the
chance to help them out as it is still early days and there is the opportunity
to put in some best practice to stand them well in the future.

IMI Norgren choose Krofire
During
April and May 2004 Krofire went up north to Lichfield in Staffordshire to
spend some time with IMI Norgren. Norgren are a large multinational
engineering products company who make such items as valves and actuators for
industry and automotives business's such as Scania Truck. Norgren have just
gone live with Financials on PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne (although they still
call it JDEdwards OneWorld). The Manufacturing implementation is next and
Krofire was brought in to assist with workshops run to build the foundations
of this next phase of the project. We want to thank all at Norgren for their
hospitality and we look forward to returning to perform the implementation
itself in the summer.
